Flannery

An opening of 2D to show 5 hearts, 4 spades and 11-15 hcp.  

Responses are:

2H/2S	to play
2NT	asks for a description of the minor suits
	-3min	3 of the minor  (some people have the bid show a singleton)
	-3H	2-2 with 11-13 hcp
	-3S	2-2 with 14-15 hcp
	-3NT	2-2 with an honor in each minor 
	-4min	4 of the minor (some would have this show a void) 

3min	asks partner to bid 3NT with a "fit" (Ax or Kx or Qxx)
	otherwise partner bids 3H with minimum, 3S with maximum

3H/3S	inviting game

3NT	to play

4C/D	transfers back to partner (C -> Hearts, D -> Spades)

4H/S	to play 


Some people use 2H instead of 2D as Flannery.

Reverse Flannery shows 5 spades, 4 hearts and 11-15. Responses are similar.
